5 days before the Competition!

It's Monday Morning, 5days before my Canada Fitness Modeling and Bikini Competition. I feel good! I feel Confident! I have worked out hard, eaten really well, not partied late nights, done my research on fitness modeling, and have kept a very positive attitude.

The things that are under my control, I have done well at. But, what about the things that aren't, such as my suits being done on time or my plane landing on time, or... how about if my suits fit me? What I'm about to tell you, could have taken me into a complete panic. Here, let me tell you what has happened so far...

First, my suits didn't turn out the way I envisioned. One of the designers is close to me, but since she is one of the best in the industry, I never even met with her personally before she designed it due to her travels. The other one is from Canada and of course I never met with her either, instead I just told her what I wanted and she designed it. Well, it turns out, one suit didn't fit me and the other was not what I pictured in my head. Second, I didn't have a makeup artist in Canada and couldn't find one. Third, as I check my flight ticket I find that it arrives at 6:23 pm in Buffalo, NY. The problem was not the fact that it arrived in Buffalo (although didn't make it any easier), but the time! I am supposed to be in the pre-competition registration at 6pm! "Holy Shiznet...what do I do now?” I thought. I was definitely freaking out, but then I calmed down and figured it all out.
One, as for the suit I didn't picture in my head, I simply explained and communicated to the designer exactly what I wanted, so she will have it done by this Tuesday. Two, the suit that didn't fit me, I wrote her an e-mail with a picture included on how I wanted it to fit me--she's getting it done and has been extremely helpful and understanding about it. Three, I contacted my cousin from Puerto Rico, Luis Robles (Amazing makeup artist!), and he happened not to be booked that weekend, so he's going to do my makeup-yey! Four, I spoke to my travel agent, and so he checked to see if the early flight was booked in order to see if I could do standby. Guess? Yep, not booked so I have very high chances of getting on that earlier flight which arrives at 12:15 pm in Buffalo. What a relief!

See, the key is to not freak out. The key is to trust the universe and know that there is a solution to every situation. These so called "obstacles" are there to teach you something, for me it was to learn patience and calm. Had I totally freaked out and focused on the things that are going wrong, things would continue on a downward spiral. It's all about the way you perceive things. I decided to look at it from a more positive light.Oh, and another thing that happened that I almost forgot-I wanted to see FAME body proud in Ft. Lauderdale so I can get pumped up for my show, but I had planned to have dinner with my Girlfriends the very same day. So the one thing that week that I thought I had all under control, I didn't, instead I felt pinned to a wall. But, when I made the decision I made it with my heart and not my head. I was kind of upset at the fact that I didn't go see it, but ended up making the best decision because my girlfriends threw a surprise birthday party for me and my other best friend! It was awesome! I had never experienced a surprise birthday and it actually brought so much happiness!

Ok, so last thing...I bought these boots for my sports/theme outfit of "Super Coach Yari" and maybe you can tell me what you think about them; although, you have to use your imagination a bit because this is not my official outfit. It's actually going to be much more sparkly, but it's similar. Here's are the pics, tell me what you think... you can comment on this blog or write me
Lots of Love,
and thank you for your support!!!

I guess your boots look fine, maybe if you fold this out to make it shorter it would look even better cause then the judges would be able to se your calves.Anyway, you are going to win coach Yari!!!

You DO look amazing! About the boots, of course, it's hard to visualize the whole thing put together, but something about those boots doesn't look quite right. Maybe a cowboy cut on top would flatter your awesome legs more? Or are you able to fold them a bit? Maybe with the whole "Super Yari" outfit, it will work out. Either way, you will ROCK that competition!

From the side the boots look great but from the front they're kinda bulkie. Will probably look better with the entire "Supper Yari" outfit though. You look great and have a wonderful outlook. i wish you the best and keep up the good work. Thank you for keeping us motivated. God bless.

Looking awesome! U make me want to workout harder! ;) Boots are very sexy, but I do agree that they may be a bit long. Shorter would make you look longer, but if you don't have time to find a new pair, I still think they will work. Don't sweat the small stuff. Don't agree in the universe stuff (I believe in God intervening). Luv ya though.

Universe Bless, I mean God ;) You'll go far for sure
