My Black Eye!

I try to always be as active as I can. I decided to join a flag football league with my friends down in Miami....so much fun by the way! However, This experience then led to a whole other one...

A cool, sexy, black eye from a fun game of flag football, turned out to be a true "eye opener"

The black eye inspired me to do a photo shoot. Originally i thought of it because I thought about showing a strong, fit, determined and driven woman, who would physically go through sweat, blood, and tears to show her will. But the photo shoot turned out to be something else.

Little did I know that this photo shoot would bring about enlightenment!

This pic represents the complete opposite of my essence(lively, vibrant, energetic, loving, lovable, passionate, light). Instead I see a lifeless, sad, beat up, exhausted, frustrated, vulnerable,dense, and unloved Yari. ( www.myspace.com/yarimiami)

I am grateful for the photographer bringing these very real emotions to my attention. He truly "painted" the picture for me.

Its good to be aware that these negative emotions exist, and that way you can choose to go on the opposite end of the spectrum.

But, feeling is what life is about!
