Don't leave large objects in the middle of your living room!

I know that this has nothing to do with fitness but I have got to tell you my weekend story.
Have any of you ever fallen in public places?......Embarrassing!
This used to happen to me so much when I was in high school, especially because I would try to dress all cute with the wrong shoes.

Well yesterday I fell in my house really bad. My roommate left a freekin table in the middle of the living room, and the light when you first open the door was not working, so I rushed across the living room floor to turn on the other light and whack...bam...thump...clink...clank...whatever I rammed against this glass and iron table that got me right across the thigh, flipped over it, and managed somehow for the glass not to puncture me anywhere. The glass was so thick and sharp that it slit my shoe. The only thing that did happen to me was minor hand cuts, several bruises all over, and a major contusion on my thigh.

Oh, and then I stayed up all night with a friend who came to help cleaning the glass up off the floor and carpet--that was tedious. We cleaned up the carpet with tape to ensure that those little pieces were gone. And so I slept two hours to go the next day to a fitness training seminar where I am there to receive an education from 8-4 at the Miami Beach Convention Center...talk about Cuban coffee.

Moral of the story is .......ROOMMATES:DO NOT LEAVE Stuff IN THE MIDDLE OF ANYWHERE WITHOUT TELLING US FIRST.

Oh, and a piece of advice, try to leave a little night light on so that this never has to happen to you..

I teared a little at first but laughed my a$$ off later.

I'm exhausted

I have worked so hard these past couple of week on the newsletters and free report. What I feel is exhaustion, yet at the same time so accomplished. I am so happy that I was able to get this information out to you, I just never knew it was this hard. I literally have stayed up until six in the morning writing and getting everything in gear. It is insane to think about how many emails I get and reply to daily. I literally have worked 7 days a week 14 hour days for the last 3 weeks. Crazy!
I know I am just going on and on about this, but I guess I need to express it just to let you know how dedicated I am to my profession. As I hope, you can see that I am a very passionate person in everything I do.

But all I could say is that when you want something you have got to take action and give it your all. This is how I work. I guess that my biggest pet peeve is when people talk about the things they want, but never take the initiative to do it.

Anyways, I hope that you guys take advantage of the tools I provide you with. Every tool has a purpose-- use it to your needs.

With A lot of love and dedication,

Yari

P.S.I think I'm getting to that time of the month...Can you tell? ;)

Pre-breakfast run

Hello my favorite people,

I went running this morning for 20 min and I thought about you. I was just making sure that you guys are following the homework assignment. If it ever comes a time when you truthfully can't do it,and worse comes to worse, then I recommend that you do at least a 20 min pre breakfast workout. What I do is I drink a full glass of water first to get rid of waste product. Then I go for a run before breakfast because this is one of the best ways to fat burn since your metablism is at its highest in the morning.

Keep up the good work.

If a picture helps.......

If a picture helps to motivate you, put it up on your fridge or somewhere that you are able to see everyday. This should serve as a visual aid to get you to your goals. Trust me it can really be of help. The reason I am bringing this up is because I was actually able to motivate someone today by simply putting up a picture of me on this blog. This person complimented me and it actually made me feel..awsome. It certainly put a smile on my face ear to ear. It made me feel the way I strive to get all of my clients to feel....freekin great. This made me realize that there is a reason why I do work this hard and that I practice what I preach.
My reasons for being a trainer is so that I can be a motivator, a friend, an advisor, as well as a teacher to you. I will always continue to educate myself in the field so that I can get all of you the results that you truly desire and have the ability to put a smile on your face.

Give me your all and I will give you mine...period,end of story.

110% ....i give you my all

I just thought I'd drop in to make myself very clear on my dedication to my clients. I will give you my all in order to help you guys. I don't care how silly you feel or think that your question or comment might be, I will always give you the best advice to my knowledge. If I don't know the answer to your question, I will most certainly try to find you the answer. Besides, this allows me to continue growing as a fitness professional and will allow me to know the answers for future questions.

I certainly will try and be the most helpful and motivational person I can be so please never hesitate to ask me anything. Remember, those who stay quiet when in doubt will continue to be in doubt and make more mistakes along the way.

I also would like to add that fitness is a lifestyle and I am here to guide you onto that path that i myself follow.

My awsome bootcampers

You know I gotta say that I am extremely happy with my bootcampers. They are doing the best they can by putting in Maximum effort. As a matter a fact one of my campers emailed me saying they could not come in for the class because she had so much to do and was so exhausted. She told me not to think that she was being lazy and so I just took it as that. But when 5:30 came around she was there and that to me meant a lot. This told me that she is really trying and wants to see results and feel better.

THis is the kind of attitude and dedication that I like to see. I can honestly give all of my bootcampers props for being there and giving it their all.

......there is still more torture to come and it only gets easier not because it is but because it is mind over matter.

lots of love to everyone and never stop giving each and every day your all.

Welcome to my blog!

Today I was training one of my favorite clients. She is just an awesome person and she listens to what I have to say because she trusts me. When she first came in to see me she was all covered up, her hair was slightly disheveled and her eyes and her head were both down to the floor. When I introduced myself and said, "Good Morning!" She looked up with a half crooked smile on her face, which wasn't really how she was feeling. But so as not to make an uncomfortable situation more difficult I "kept it moving" and asked her how she was feeling. Whoa! That was the wrong thing to do. Her eyes got a little bit full and her bottom lip began to quiver and I immediately did something that I don't normally do to my clients. I stepped forward and gave her a hug. By looking in her eyes and reading her face I really didn't need to wait around for what her lips could not articulate. I knew what it was, I've been there before with many clients.

They come in after weeks of working out, they step on the scale at home and they've hit that point where they are eating right and the weight just isn't coming off and they don't know what to do. The frustration is unbearable at times. Especially when you've been doing the right thing and you've had so much success in the beginning. It can really throw you off and a quick "hang in there" really doesn't fix it, nor will your friends telling you that you just need "more cardio."

The desire to be fit, toned and pressure to look like the people on television can be overwhelming. Now some people might look at this woman and think that she doesn't have it together, but she is very successful. But the thing about successful people is that they are "used to" success and when they find something that they are having a hard time with they get slightly frustrated. So I told her what I usually tell me clients when their backs are against the wall and also to get a little chuckle out of them. I tell them "Have No Fear, Coach Yari is Here!" And then we laugh.

So this is what I did and then I basically asked her a couple of questions and this is what we found out. The solution was so simple. She was supposed to eat a couple ounces of cashews and she was measuring the cashews as if they were fluid instead of putting them on the scale and weighing them!! After solving this problem, she lost another 3 pound over the course of the next 10 days. Sometimes the key is not more exercise, it's just listening, having the right information and sticking to the plan.

Take care. Until next time,

Coach Yari
