Don't leave large objects in the middle of your living room!
I know that this has nothing to do with fitness but I have got to tell you my weekend story.
Have any of you ever fallen in public places?......Embarrassing!
This used to happen to me so much when I was in high school, especially because I would try to dress all cute with the wrong shoes.
Well yesterday I fell in my house really bad. My roommate left a freekin table in the middle of the living room, and the light when you first open the door was not working, so I rushed across the living room floor to turn on the other light and whack...bam...thump...clink...clank...whatever I rammed against this glass and iron table that got me right across the thigh, flipped over it, and managed somehow for the glass not to puncture me anywhere. The glass was so thick and sharp that it slit my shoe. The only thing that did happen to me was minor hand cuts, several bruises all over, and a major contusion on my thigh.
Oh, and then I stayed up all night with a friend who came to help cleaning the glass up off the floor and carpet--that was tedious. We cleaned up the carpet with tape to ensure that those little pieces were gone. And so I slept two hours to go the next day to a fitness training seminar where I am there to receive an education from 8-4 at the Miami Beach Convention Center...talk about Cuban coffee.
Moral of the story is .......ROOMMATES:DO NOT LEAVE Stuff IN THE MIDDLE OF ANYWHERE WITHOUT TELLING US FIRST.
Oh, and a piece of advice, try to leave a little night light on so that this never has to happen to you..
I teared a little at first but laughed my a$$ off later.
